Oprah Winfrey (my personal hero) was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother and received considerable hardship during her childhood, including being raped at the age of nine and becoming pregnant at 14 (her son died in infancy).

Oprah did not let any of that stop her because she believed in herself .  She used her pain and her past as a platform to move her to create a better life for herself.

And that she did!

Today she is ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and was once the world’s only black billionaire. She is perhaps the most influential woman in the world.

Are you letting your past tarnish the amazing life that can be yours for the taking?

Let go!  Move on!  Don’t look back!
